
Pioneer : Bruno Patassini![]() Bruno started his illustrious career with the company as a Night Club Manager at The Bonaventure Hotel in Montreal in May 1967. Bruno then started to make his way west, being hired at the now Westin Calgary in September 1968 as Assistant Restaurant Manager. However, before coming all the way to the westcoast, in December 1969 Bruno decided to go to Bangkok, joining the Dusit Thani Hotel as Supper Club Manager. In October 1971 Bruno joined the team, at what was then the Bayshore Inn, as Supper Club Manager. Bruno then transferred from here to The Westin St. Francis in April 1975 as Restaurant Manager of the popular restaurant, Victors. However, in August 1977 Bruno came back to The Bayshore as Catering Manager, and in 1996 became the Director of Catering. With Bruno’s many years of service and expertise in the industry, he was also asked to assist with pre-openings at a number of other Westin properties, such as Raffles at the Wailea Beach Hotel, Delmonico’s at The Westin Cincennati, The Benchmark at The Westin O’Hare in Chicago, Le Castillion at The Westin Bonaventure in Montreal, Beaudry’s at The Westin Bonaventure in LA and the Palm Grill, Raffles City in Singapore. When we talk about an associate embodying and representing a company, Bruno has truly acted as an ambassador for The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver and has been responsible for establishing many strong ties and relationships with various clients and organizations over the years. It is therefore, with sadness, that I announce Bruno’s decision to retire at the end of this year so that he can now spend more time with his family.
