Pioneer: Frank & Eva Iaci

Frank and Eva Iaci

Frank and Eva Iaci began in the Forties at 1022 Seymour Street as Iaci's Casa Capri and for four generations, until it closed on Dec.17, 1983, it was a restaurant that consistently wowed the people of Vancouver. Great Italian food made from scratch, served home style, with a liberal sprinkling of warmth and razor sharp wit. Eva's specialty was veal parmesan. Aficionados remember too the tastes created and served up by Coco, Benny, Toots, Frank and Teenie. Iaci's was a second home to the rich and famous, to folks who simply enjoyed the great food that made the restaurant such an important part of the city's dining-out history. Accepting for Frank & Eva Iaci are their grand-daughter, Gina Lowden and their grand-nephew, Ken Iaci.
