Pioneer: Jean Claude Ramond
One of the many characters who peppered Vancouver dining was the restaurateur Jean-Claude Ramond.
He was fiercely opinionated, tough, funny, generous, occasionally sentimental - a Frenchman who has seen nearly
everything Ramond or "J-C" as he was known in the neighbourhood, was described as larger than life. Jean Claude Ramond
passed away May 2005, a few days after he eulogized his old friend Joel Thibault, also a 2006 inductee.
