
Pioneer: Mario Corsi![]() Mario Corsi was born near Rome into a large Italian family in the spring of 1946 and his life, according to our research, has always revolved around the love of great food. He began his culinary training at the Ritz Hotel and the Medici in Rome and the Bauer Grünwald in Venice. He continued gaining experiences at the Metropole Bruxelle in Belgium, the Beaulac Neuchatel in Switzerland, the Queen Elisabeth Bad Gastein in Austria and in Germany, the Adler Hinterzarten and Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf. It was after that, he decided to move to Canada to avoid such violent-sounding names. For 33 years, among other food-industry ventures, Mario Corsi has been known best as the managing partner at the Park Royal Hotel. Until recently, a place of great Gemütlichkeit.
